John Durham-Telemarketing Champion Or Chancer?
John Durham, a self proclaimed "telemarketing champion", rules over the Offline Forum section of the Warrior Forum internet marketing forum with a mixture of bullying, bragadaccio, and crawling sycophancy towards a chosen few fellow Warriors to keep them onside. But are his claims to have made millions from his kitchen table through his often trumpeted cold calling powers true or are they just a load of tripe?
Lets take a closer look at Durham's track record, modus operandi, and laughable claims to have made millions and wonders why he spends all his time on the Warrior Forum trying to peddle memberships of his telemarketing forum and various 10$ reports through the Warrior Special Offer section of the forum.
John Durham Testimonial for Jason Kanigan-And How Quickly He Changes When He Feels a Threat
Jason Kanigan, another so called "cold caller" with an incredibly high regard for himself even though he doesn't acually make a living at it-he works a day job-offers cold calling consultancy for fancy money considering he is faking it till he makes it.
One of the testimonials provided for his "sales training" was by his erstwhile buddy, John Durham. Durham said:
I have never said this about ANYONE besides myself, but I think Jason has a real calling for teaching telemarketing. He has worked hard even while being underestimated at first.
His advice is totally on cue in every post. EVERY post!
Dont take my word, read it for yourself. I gave him a hard time when he first got here... but , man, I really feel this guy. He has a gift for this, and I sure wouldnt share the telemarketing spotlight willingly without really knowing someone was the real deal. I would rather give them a hard time until their fakeness was exposed and they hung themselves with their own words.
I "feel" Jason though, you cant hang him because he's right on every point.
You could say Im complimenting thats because we JV'd... or that this is a fanboy post, unless you know me, but I think its the opposite: I think we Jv'd because of what I just said! I really believe in this guy, and think his advice is 100% awesome, no pretensions.
Anyway, shouting out to Jason. Im jealous of some of the advice you give here! Seriously.
Good luck! I hope this leads to a fulltime telemarketing counseling career for you, or that you dont see a better opportunity and bolt from us, because you really have a gift/understanding for teaching this, and its lonely being the only other telemarketing teacher here that I totally trust and believe in without hesitation on every level!
I give people a hard time who come spouting theory and bs about telemarketing, because they havent paid their dues to own that respect, many are full of BS... You really arent. You really have an understanding of this, you totally earned my respect and I know it was a pain in the A$$ having to go through the fire here, but you knew your message was needed.

However Durham soon changed his tune when he discovered Kanigan was planning setting up a telemarketing forum for himself and reacted ..quite badly.

Dont feel alone Ken , one of the people I have helped most here, has copied every move I have ever made (Except for actually being a real offline extraordinaire) , and now even has their own telemarketing forum I just found out today.
You cant be the original though, particularly when you still work a day job.

The "Brat pack" reference above is a reference to a WSO (Warrior Forum Special Offer). Durham's record of involvement in WSO's is less than stellar and goes something like this:
- He hypes the crap out of it
- Collects as much money as quickly as possible
- Disappears like snow off a hedge

Durham shows up to answer on October 25th, 2012.
John, could you tell me the approximate conversion rate? If doing this by phone. Average 30 calls a sale? 100 calls per sale?
Also, i read somewhere, but not in this salesletter, (must have been in the email i got about this product) that you go into what directory types are best, for charging larger amounts like 200 dollars a month and similar. Correct?
Im trying to determine my costs in hiring a phone person, and hopefully an inexpensive, one site at a time site builder, until i can hire full time people. HAVE to pay from eanings as i go as i can't afford it otherwise. Do you go into outsourcing options/specific outsourcers, for those of us who dont have the funds upfront?

One week later....
Here is another one-the Offline Brat Pack. The usual set up-loads of promises and hype but Durham just disappears and fails to respond once the first few easy sales are made. Then the complaints start coming in
I've been waiting for a response for weeks now. I've PM'ed you twice and have even posted on both your threads and still have not gotten the download link for what I payed for!
If John has anything to do with this you have wasted your money. He has the habit of starting things he never finishes. I know he's had his share of personal problems but he should get his affairs straight first, so he can take of paying customers. Another warrior said he has the mind of a squirrel which I thought was not very polite. But after buying several products from John that just "died", I have to agree. He keeps grabbing as many acorn's as he can and forgets the one's he left behind.
This should not really come as a surprise I guess because Durham started this thread at the end of 2011 blowing hard about making $500,000 in 2012 and what was the outcome?
His site was suspended for not being able to pay the hosting!
John Durham's Deluded Claims of Success
Durham's claims of success are too numerous and wildly exaggerated to be taken seriously or to list here.
Suffice to say he claims to have made millions through cold calling from his kitchen table, from a call room, from wherever.
But one thing remains consistent-Durham spends all of his time on the Warrior Forum peddling $10 reports about cold calling.
He tells other people what they should be doing, tells them how he did it..but invariably ends up bringing out another poorly written WSO to sell for small money to gullible, clueless newbies who believe that if he says something often enough..it must be true.

John Durham's Sycophancy
You won't see Durham falling out with the likes of Ken Michaels or any other cold callers any time soon. No, he is too smart for that.
A combination of bullying and attacking anyone who dares question the value of cold calling along with kissing the assess of guys like Ken Michaels, IAmNameless, forum puppet Paul Myers and a few others who he perceives to be respected gives us the unedifying spectacle of him professing his "love like a brother" to these guys.
Give us a break dude!.
That sort of bible wielding rubbish is slightly out of place on an internet marketing forum where you are
1. hustling for memberships of your telemarketing forum and
2. hustling rehashed reports about what you claim to have done "back in the day".
John Durham Telemarketer-Champ or Chump?
In the interests of fairness Durham may well be a good cold caller. Maybe he has some skill, knowledge, and expertise in the are of telemarketing and cold calling. Maybe he has helped some people.
But if that is the case why isn't he practicing what he preaches (and sells in WSO's)?
Why isn't he spending his time doing what he claims to excel at?
Why does he spend all his time on the Warrior Forum promoting and pimping his poorly written reports?
Why isn't he hitting the phones? Why the long list of unfulfilled promises in various WSOs?
Every newbie that comes around the forum is encouraged to make calls and "overcome the fear".
Yet he spends all his time on a dodgy internet forum.And why the boastfulness and implied threats to anyone who disagrees with him or crosses him? eg as I write this here is another example, this time about another member, Irish Tuition:
Who is this guy? Does anyone know?
After today, I dont think he's going to be a Pygmalion project for me anymore. I even encourage people who jab at me here and there, hoping to turn them around...but one too many Jabs , and you go on my "You're a nobody" list.
And finally to understand how Durham operates in the Warrior Forum and his preparedness to sacrifice ideals and principles for the continuing opportunity to market himself and his b****it here is Durham's own philosophy:
